Business Analyst (Remote)

We have an immediate need for a Business Analyst to join our client, a national chain of convenience stores and gas stations. The Business Analyst will play a key role in enhancing the business value of data processes, workflows, and solutions that support the organization.

Location: Remote; East Coast preferred

This job expects to pay about $50 52 per hour.

What You Will Do:

• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their objectives, challenges, and requirements.
• Elicit, document, and analyze business requirements, ensuring they are clear, complete, and aligned with the organization's goals.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of existing business processes, systems, and workflows to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Collaborate with technical teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories.
• Create and maintain detailed project documentation, including business requirements, use cases, process flows, and user acceptance criteria.
• Provide subject matter expertise to guide decision-making and support business process re-engineering efforts.
• Participate in testing and quality assurance activities to ensure the delivered solutions meet business requirements.

What Gets You The Job:

• Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Master s degree is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in a data-centric role within the retail industry.
• Strong understanding of data processes and how they relate to business objectives.
• Strong BA Capabilities with 8+ years of experience in understanding customer problem statements from business perspective and translating them to solve for solutions, enable technical team and collaborate with client stakeholders.
• Proficiency in SQL and a robust understanding of Azure platforms and tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in Azure, Data Bricks, Azure Data Factory is a plus.
• Able to review QA test cases and perform User Acceptance Testing
• Good knowledge and working experience in Retail industry, Convenience store/Fuels Industry preferred.
• Experience in process mapping, workflow analysis, and business process modeling.
• Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, SAFe Agile.
