Role: Sr Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Minneapolis, MN

Duration: 5+ Months

Description:
Our team develops new or modifies processes, defines process equipment requirements and specifications, and reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of Ring Laser Gyroscopes.
As an Sr Advanced Manufacturing Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace, you will influence the planning and designing of manufacturing processes for our products. You will determine the equipment and tools needed by the team to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification for both existing and new processes. You will maximize efficiency by analyzing the layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization. Support daily production activities and drive producibility improvement projects for our existing products in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide test and manufacturing support for Ring Laser Gyro (RLG) and Tactical Guidance Products (TGP) production.
Perform yield and performance data analysis to monitor process capability, product health trends and drive yield improvements.
Utilize CAMP, Lean, and Six-Sigma methodologies to govern engineering standard work practices.
Investigate and resolve technical issues, facilitate issue identification and analysis.
Develop improvements in product design and in the manufacturing and assembly processes for cost and cycle time reductions.
Assist development of new products.
Support knowledge for test equipment and preventative maintenance plans to maintain factory capacity and efficient product flow.
Facilitate a self-driven work force culture to achieve RTY, BIQ, COPQ, and other SQDIC goals.
Test products & software
Must Have:
Bachelor s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
5+ years experience

Product or process engineering experience.
Product assembly and test experience.
Experience with optics, sensors, and/or electronic assemblies.
Experience with product yield management and improvement.
Experience with programming and troubleshooting equipment with PLC controllers.
Experience in manufacturing of products for regulated industries (aerospace, medical, automotive).
Ability to work in a cleanroom environment.
Ability to balance priorities in daily tasks and strategic projects.

Ability to partner and collaborate well with team members across functions.
