A top Financial Services client in Tysons, VA is seeking a Visual Designer to join their team on a long-term, contract basis.


This position requires onsite presence 5 days per week.



Overview:



  • Seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented professional to help craft compelling executive presentations and visual stories that bring complex ideas to life - fast.

  • Work closely with senior leaders to translate strategic narratives into clear, visually engaging decks that connect with audiences across business, design, and technology.

  • This role requires a mix of design intuition, storytelling skill, and speed - someone who can think strategically, move quickly, and deliver under pressure without compromising quality.

  • Design, build, and refine executive-level PowerPoint presentations that tell a clear and impactful story.

  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to translate complex business strategies into simple, visually compelling narratives.

  • Build presentation frameworks, templates, and visual systems that enhance clarity and elevate the brand.

  • Use design intuition and strong communication skills to shape content and messaging, not just "decorate" slides.

  • Ensure brand consistency, visual polish, and clear information hierarchy across all deliverables.

  • Turn around decks quickly while maintaining a high bar for visual quality.

  • Understand and simplify financial and business concepts into visuals that drive decision-making.

  • Provide guidance on narrative flow, structure, and storytelling techniques for leadership presentations.

  • Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.


Qualifications:




  • 5+ years of experience in visual design, presentation design, or communication design.

  • Advanced PowerPoint skills (Keynote and/or Adobe Creative Suite a plus).

  • Strong storytelling and content framing ability - able to shape ideas, not just format slides.

  • Proven experience working with C-suite or senior executives.

  • Familiarity with financial services or banking required; ability to understand and visualize business concepts is key.

  • A strong portfolio of past presentation or visual storytelling work.

  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment with quick turnarounds.

  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.

  • Advanced skills in written, oral, and presentation communications required.
