Job Description
Quantech Services is seeking an experienced Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our team in Fort Belvoir, VA.
Salary: $180K
Security Clearance Required:
Active TS/SCI U.S. Government clearance is required.
Education:
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
-
In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, four (4) additional years of ISSE experience may be substituted
Certifications:
-
DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level II (SSCP, Security+, CCNA-Security, or GSEC certification)
-
CISSP-ISSEP is highly desired
Experience:
-
Must have experience designing systems or networks that encompass multiple enclaves, including those with differing data protection/classification requirements
-
Must understand distributed architectures and cloud-based systems for big data applications
-
Must be willing to work on-site five days per week
Job Requirements:
-
9+ years of experience as an ISSE with large multi-tiered programs and a Bachelor's in a related field;
OR
7 years relevant experience with a Master's in a related field;
OR
High School Diploma/equivalent and 13 years of relevant experience -
Experience implementing DoD system accreditation processes (DIACAP acceptable; RMF preferred)

Working knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, computer architectures, and network topologies

Experience with DISA STIGs/SRGs, vulnerability management systems, and automated security scanning tools
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-
Must be flexible and adaptable to schedule changes
Job Duties:
-
Create, review, and edit authorization documentation in accordance with federal and DoD policy
-
Implement DoD RMF system accreditation processes
-
Assess use case and operational risk of integrated open source, GOTS, and COTS software components
-
Utilize vulnerability management systems, automated security scanning tools, and system accreditation record systems
-
Grasp new concepts and collaborate with diverse audiences
-
Follow established processes or establish defensible processes where none exist
-
Provide security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management support
-
Recommend system-level security solutions and guide development teams
-
Support Government with enforcing trusted relationships among external systems/architectures

Apply knowledge of IA policy/procedures/workforce structures to implement secure systems

Must be able to work well with others

Uses standard office equipment (computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets, fax machines)
