Clearance: Top Secret/SCI

Location: San Diego, CA (onsite) with up to 25% Travel to the following locations: Charleston, SC; Oahu, Hawaii; St. Louis, MO

What will you be doing?

This is a DevOps Engineering position that will be focused on hands-on technical involvement in building CI/CD pipelines, along with automated provisioning of infrastructure, while work closely with customers engineering teams implementing DevOps best practices and consulting with clients through their DevOps journey.

Responsibilities:
  • Designing Infrastructure as Code solutions
  • Automate deployment of various infrastructure elements using tools such as Packer, Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell/CLI, Python, etc.
  • Direct project automation efforts and code design practices
  • Mentor non-developer team members regarding coding
  • Participate in Enterprise testing for integration of proposed new technologies to be included in the Enterprise design and develop test-related documentation
  • Participate in discussions for next generation of virtualization with cross functional teams between engineering, networking and architecture.
  • Assisting in best practice implementation/design of infrastructure elements and deployment architecture
  • Should be able to lead a highly complex module / stories independently and will be responsible for timely delivery of the same
  • Working within current DevOps team to design and deliver CI/CD pipelines

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field required. A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance
  • 8570 IAT II Certified (Security+)
  • 6+ years working with IaC tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Packer, etc.
  • 4+ years on IT Automation such as Puppet / Chef / Ansible / Terraform / Scripting
  • In-depth knowledge of Ansible, creation and use of; playbooks, roles, collections, dynamic inventory.
  • Firm understanding of at least one: Python, PowerShell, or other similar language.
  • Knowledge of Git and common activities; push, pull, branch, merge, merge conflict resolution, tagging.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Systems and/or Networking. Capable of troubleshooting issues in a disconnected environment while acting as a Subject Matter Expert to external teams.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Able to communicate technical information written and verbally to leadership.
  • Technical background in DevOps, Software Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
  • Experience with the full software delivery lifecycle and working in complex enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency in building and managing Linux and/or Windows Systems.
  • Experience working with containers, IaaS, PaaS, and public cloud environments.
  • Experience with CI/CD principles, practices, and tools.
  • Experience with Infrastructure automation (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Terraform).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to comprehend and implement new technologies.
  • Ability to context-switch between multiple projects, codebases, and concepts with ease.
  • Ability and desire to bridge silos and bring different teams together while working towards a common goal.
