Electrical Safety Design Engineer

• Produce and release engineering design packages (drawings, BOMs, settings files)


• Design and update P&C schematics, wiring diagrams, and relay settings


• Manage multiple projects at different stages, coordinating with project managers, engineers, and field teams


• Perform relay settings calculations and coordination studies


• Support construction, testing, and commissioning with technical guidance

• 5-6+ years in P&C Engineering


• BS or Masters in Engineering


• Written/Oral skills to explain to non-technical individuals


• Experience using industry standards, ex. IEEE and NERC


• High-voltage substation exposure (69kV-345kV)


• CAD proficiency- producing drawings/schematics

• PE license


• SCADA settings and integration experience


• Prior experience with estimating, scheduling, or front-end engineering design (FEED)

Salary and Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is between $60 - $65 per hour. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
