Job Title: Sr. Date Architect

Position Type: Contract

Location: Austin, TX, Hybrid-(On Site and Telework). Position will be 2 days remote with 3 days (Mon & Wed & Thurs) required to be onsite

About the Role

The Senior Data Architect & Analytics Lead will play a pivotal role in advancing enterprise data architecture and analytics initiatives supporting healthcare programs. This role is ideal for a seasoned data professional with deep expertise in modern data architecture, cloud platforms, and advanced analytics, who is passionate about transforming complex healthcare data into actionable insights.

You will lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions that enable analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will provide technical leadership, set best practices, and help shape the future of data strategy across the organization.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing across on-premises and cloud environments.
10+ years of experience with business intelligence, analytics, and big data solutions.
Strong expertise with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud Platform), including cloud-based data storage, security, and application deployment.
Proven experience leading and managing complex analytics and data initiatives.
Advanced knowledge of data architecture principles, best practices, and enterprise data modeling.
Proficiency in SQL and modern database technologies.
Hands-on experience with ETL tools, data integration platforms, and APIs, including Informatica.
Experience designing cloud-based data architectures using Snowflake.
Experience working with healthcare data, including EHR systems, APIs, and real-time data integration.
Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

10	Required	Proficiency in cloud infrastructure management, including understanding of cloud-based data storage options, cloud security considerations, and best practices for deploying applications in the cloud.
10	Required	Develop and maintain enterprise data models, data warehouses, and data lakes to support analytics and reporting.
10	Required	Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and big data analytics in healthcare.
10	Required	Work closely with data engineers, developers, and analysts to ensure seamless data accessibility and usability.
10	Required	Experience with ETL tools, data integration platforms, and APIs.
10	Required	Experience with EHR integration, APIs, and real-time streaming.
10	Required	Experience in architecting and designing ETL pipelines using Informatica tools.
10	Required	Design and model data for cloud-based data architecture solutions using Snowflake as the primary data platform.
10	Preferred	Experience in implementing and deploying big data applications
8	Preferred	Must have hands-on expertise in Python and/or Java/Scala
8	Preferred	Experience with structured Enterprise Architecture practices, hybrid cloud deployments, and on-premise-to-cloud migration deployments and roadmaps
8	Preferred	Healthcare industry experience preferred
8	Preferred	Fundamental understanding of the Information Management principles, IT processes, SDLC, architecture and technologies adopted by an organization.

3	Preferred	The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), Cloud Solution Architecture on Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) Certification.
3	Preferred	Experience in Texas or other state eligibility system
