Site Reliability Engineer, IBM Corporation, San Jose, CA (Up to 40% telecommuting permitted):
Required: Master's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master's degree) and one (1) year of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Software Engineer or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing Jenkins, Docker (Containers), Bash Shell Scripting, Python, Kubernetes, Git and RHEL 7/8, DB2. D119a. Full time.
$226158 to $235000 per year.

Site Reliability Engineer, IBM Corporation, San Jose, CA (Up to 40% telecommuting permitted):
- Work with development teams to enable a continuous integration environment that sustains high productivity levels and emphasizes defect prevention techniques.
- Manage delivery pipeline from development/testing, staging and production and perform general testing as needed.
- Perform quality code review to meet the compliance requirements of company's process and coding standards.
- Automate, measure, and optimize system performance and processes.
- Work with cloud services as needed.
- Design and implement tools for automated deployment and monitoring of multiple environments.
- Articulate and compare designs to address deployment issues and implement solutions.
- Provide DevOps support in operating systems, programming languages, scripting and building tools, automation, and testing fundamentals for troubleshooting of systems and product builds.
- Evaluate existing systems, research, and apply improvements based on newly available tools and DevOps methodologies.
- Lead in work priorities and methods requiring tradeoffs.
- Act as trusted advisors for clients to support and resolve their queries/incidents.
- Maintain issues and incidents using case handling tools/services like cognitive support platform.
- Provide up to date and accurate information on issues/incidents.
- Advocate for the customer and interface between them and the company's product support, product management, and product development teams to handle product and tooling enhancements requests.
- Collaborate and provide technical advice and guidance to other internal teams such as Expert Labs and Expert Connect that work with customers to implement projects in the Business Automation SaaS offerings.
