Requirements:

3+ years of professional experience as a DBA
Experience supporting Oracle and SQL Servers
Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple teams and stakeholders to remediate vulnerabilities
Experience supporting database vulnerabilities and patching

Responsibilities:

Seeking a Database Administrator to support some of the day-to-day work on larger projects. This resource will be supporting some of the general DBA work and project work. For the vulnerability project, they will be supporting patching, working with multiple teams on vulnerability scans and remediation. They will be given a spreadsheet of vulnerabilities, ranked and will sort through using analysis to figure out what servers are impacted by the same vulnerability. From there, they will coordinate testing and work to ensure it is remediated. They might be working on 20-30 vulnerabilities at a time. They will work with the patching team to remediate vulnerabilities or perform SQL scripting to remediate themselves depending on the issue. They will work closely with developers as well to explain any database issues and work to get them resolved. Separate from vulnerability projects, the DBA could be asked to participate in other DBA related project meetings including on-call and after hours work.
