Job Description:
Pay Range: $55hr - $60hr
  • The Data Governance Analyst will be responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
  • This role ensures data accuracy, consistency, and compliance across systems while collaborating with business and IT teams to maintain a robust data governance framework.
Responsibilities:
  • Support the design and implementation of data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Perform data profiling, quality checks, and validation to ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems.
  • Partner with business and IT teams to document data definitions, lineage, and ownership within the data catalog.
  • Monitor data quality metrics and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of metadata, reference data, and master data documentation.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for data quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support data stewardship initiatives and promote data governance awareness across departments.
  • Contribute to ongoing data governance maturity assessments and improvement projects.
Skills:
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality frameworks, and metadata management.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with data governance tools such as Collibra, Alation, Informatica, or similar.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with master data management (MDM) and enterprise data catalog solutions.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).
  • Background in cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with data lineage and metadata management automation tools.
Qualification And Education:
  • Bachelor s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; Master s preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, data governance, or data management roles.
