Role Title: Senior Solution Architect
Location: Sacramento, CA (Need local or nearby resources who can commute to customer site on his own expanses) - Travel: 50%
Duration: Long Term Contract
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of complex enterprise solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365 modules including Case Management, Customer Service, Finance & Operations (D365 F&O), Power Pages, and Power Platform as well as experience with other low-code platforms such as Salesforce. This role blends deep technical expertise with strategic consulting and leadership. As a trusted advisor to both clients and internal stakeholders, you will engage cross-functional teams including Enterprise Architecture, Security, Development, and Operations and business sponsors to align on solution design and delivery approach. You will synthesize broad feedback into strategic, actionable insights and present compelling business cases that influence program direction and product roadmaps. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in architecture, governance, and customer engagement, with a preference for experience in public health and social services implementations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and lead the development of scalable business applications using D365 F&O Power Apps, Power Platform, and expert level in Azure or other cloud technologies
- Define and document solution architectures, including architecture decisions and traceability matrices.
- Gather and synthesize customer and partner insights to shape solution strategy and execution.
- Provide governance for complex projects, including leading architectural review boards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior-level stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Generate and share intellectual property, and drive thought leadership through community engagement.
- Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to practice development and capability building.
- Accountable for overall technical governance, driving best practices and quality of deliverables.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years' experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security) OR equivalent experience.
- 5+ years managing multiple, complex projects or portfolios.
- 3+ years' experience leading blended, multidisciplinary teams.
- Proven expertise in D365 and Power Platform.
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Excellent stakeholder and leadership engagement skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, consulting, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 10+ years' experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security).
- 15+ years of experience in enterprise architecture and consulting.
- Experience in public health and social services implementations.
- Technical or professional certifications in relevant domains (e.g., Security, Cloud, CRM).
- 8+ years of experience in project management.
- 5+years of people leadership experience.
- Knowledge of security best practices and capacity planning.
- Familiarity with change management processes.
