Job Summary:
We are seeking a Junior Network Engineer to join our team and support our clients' network infrastructure needs. This role will primarily focus on Cisco technologies, including routing and switching upgrades, firewall support, and helpdesk assistance. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of network engineering, strong troubleshooting skills, and a customer-focused mindset.

This role will primarily focus on Cisco technologies, including routing and switching upgrades, firewall support, and helpdesk assistance. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of network engineering, strong troubleshooting skills, and a customer-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in Cisco router and switch upgrades, including configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Provide firewall support for Cisco ASA, Firepower, or other security appliances, including rule modifications and basic security analysis.
- Respond to helpdesk tickets related to networking issues, diagnosing and resolving connectivity problems efficiently.
- Work closely with senior network engineers to implement and maintain network solutions for clients.
- Perform network monitoring, maintenance, and performance optimization.
- Document configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps for internal and client records.
- Assist with network assessments and recommendations for improving security and performance.
- Provide remote and on-site support as required by client needs.
- 1-3 years of experience in networking or a related IT field.
- Basic understanding of Cisco networking technologies (CCNA certification preferred).
- Experience with routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and switching technologies (VLANs, STP, EtherChannel).
- Familiarity with firewall configurations and security policies (Cisco ASA, Firepower, or similar).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with clients professionally.
- Experience with helpdesk support, including ticketing systems and end-user troubleshooting.
- Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic IT service provider environment.
