Job Details

The Senior GenAI Architect is responsible for leading the development of the GenAI architecture across the Lineage enterprise. This will be accomplished through collaboration with key stakeholders in data science, data solutions, infrastructure, and business teams. This includes scaling our GenAI capabilities by designing RAG systems, integrating LLMs, building Agentic workflows, and enabling secure, responsible AI deployments that align with Lineage's data and digital strategy, and build reusability into our core architecture.

As Lineage continues its transformation of the global food supply chain, this role will be critical in bringing GenAI-driven capabilities to life. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader with a deep understanding of modern GenAI technologies and patterns and has a passion for solving complex enterprise challenges using GenAI.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and implementation of Lineage's GenAI architecture, including vector databases, session memory and context, orchestration layer, connectivity layer & API integrations, UI deliver, LLMs, evaluation frameworks, monitoring and logging, and agentic workflow engines
  • Define and maintain architectural standards and reusable components for GenAI use cases across the business
  • Evaluate and integrate LLM providers and open-source models to support specific business needs
  • Build scalable RAG pipelines for intelligent document search, summarization, and insight extraction
  • Design GenAI applications that securely integrate with internal and external applications, data lakes, and knowledge stores using APIs and MCP (Model Context Protocol)
  • Partner with data engineering, data science, product, and business teams to identify and deliver high-impact AI solutions

  • Contribute to the development of AI governance and model lifecycle management
  • Lead technical workshops and evangelize GenAI best practices across teams
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to GenAI developers, data scientists, and architects
  • Continuously monitor the evolving GenAI ecosystem and recommend improvements or strategic pivots
  • Manage and mentor other personnel - both internal and external
  • Make sound technical design and architectural decisions
  • Consistently deliver high-quality software and processes in usable increments
  • Grow and maintain a broad and deep knowledge of supply chain operations and associated technologies
  • Travel occasionally to meet with team members and partners

Education and Work Experience:
  • University degree in computer science, AI/ML, software engineering, or related field and/or >10 years of relevant work experience
  • 7+ years in software or data architecture roles with enterprise-scale solutions
  • 3+ years of experience implementing AI/ML solutions, including 1+ year with GenAI/LLMs
  • Proven experience with cloud-native platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and infrastructure automation
  • Prior experience in hands-on software development is preferred
