About the Role

This position plays a critical role in ensuring products meet long-life failure rate requirements and exceed customer expectations. The Reliability Engineer will collaborate across teams to develop, implement, and monitor reliability strategies throughout the product lifecycle-from concept through commercialization.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute qualification plans and reliability methods aligned with customer longevity requirements
  • Schedule, coordinate, and deliver qualification activities within agreed timelines
  • Monitor reliability growth and demonstration progress for new products against defined targets
  • Implement ongoing reliability monitoring and trend analysis for critical parameters
  • Identify and drive reliability improvements in current and future product generations
  • Collaborate with design teams to embed reliability into development processes
  • Resolve reliability issues impacting in-house or customer failure rates in a team environment
  • Provide technical guidance to internal teams and interface with customers on reliability concerns
  • Track reliability metrics and goals to support quality improvement initiatives
  • Distribute reliability performance reports to internal stakeholders and customers
  • Recommend capital equipment for testing, burn-in screening, and life testing
  • Conduct acceleration testing using physics-based models and best-fit reliability techniques
  • Analyze field performance data (MTTF, FIT, survival rates) using Weibull and Weibayes models


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
  • Familiarity with power conversion theory (AC/DC, DC/DC)
  • Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) preferred
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive results


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with MIL-HDBK-217 and Telcordia reliability prediction methods
  • Understanding of failure physics in PCBs and electronic components
  • Knowledge of electronic circuits, components, PCBs, and manufacturing processes
  • Expertise in FMEA, DOE, and advanced reliability assessment techniques
  • Strong grasp of statistical quality control and yield characterization
  • Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Visio, MiniTab, JMP
