Employment Type: Contract position through the end of the year

Work Schedule: 5 days a week

Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Windows Engineer to join our team for an onsite contract position at multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer support mentality and be adept at handling various technical tasks, including system rollouts, imaging, and break/fix components. This role requires frequent travel between sites and interaction with end-users to ensure smooth transitions and system functionality.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the rollout of new systems, including imaging and deployment.
  • Provide hands-on support to customers, swapping out machines and ensuring successful logins.
  • Take detailed notes to identify and address any gaps in the process.
  • Handle break/fix components and respond to SNOW tickets and other requests promptly.
  • Travel between locations to provide onsite support and ensure system integrity.
  • Maintain and update documentation related to system configurations and procedures.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience with Windows operating systems (Windows 10, Windows Server 2016/2019).
  • Strong background in break/fix components and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with ticketing systems, preferably SNOW.
  • Knowledge of iOS devices and their integration with Windows systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Must be able to pass a nuclear background check.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server or similar.
  • Experience in a nuclear or highly regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
