Our direct client is seeking an Automation Testing Engineer/SDET professional to support our customer, a premier Federal Healthcare Insurance Organization!

This position is a hybrid opportunity (1x per week onsite in Reston VA.) and requires a final Face to Face interview in Reston VA as the second round interview.
We are seeking SDET professionals with strong automation experience, utilizing Java Selenium, Playwright with strong SQL and ETL validation (preferable on MongoDB). Responsible for developing, modifying, and executing software test plans, test scenarios, defines and solves for test data needs, automated scripts, and programs for testing in order to ensure the outgoing software and technical products meet and exceed quality standards. Develop and execute software tests to identify software problems and their root causes. Test system modifications to prepare for implementation. Document software and application defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to software engineers and product owners. May participate in the review of software design.

Required Skills
Bachelors Degree required. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
5+ years of experience within Automation Testing/SDET activities using core Java/Selenium/Playwright.
ETL Validation / source to target experience from MongoDB
Proven experience to create, maintain and run complex database queries, specifically SQL (Critical)
Proven experience with Agile and Waterfall software development life cycle (SDLC) models
Accountable for analyzing User Stories, Acceptance Criteria and Prepare In Sprint automated test scripts for API /Web/UI, Web Services testing
Experience creating, modifying and maintaining test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and automated test scripts
Additional information
Strong ability to translate business requirements into effective visual dashboard and able to design develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports ( Power BI reports)
Hands on Knowledge of ITSM process within ServiceNow and experience integrating ServiceNow with other systems or applications. candidate exp should not exceed more then 10 years as this is a mid level role. Video interview first, then F2F in Reston VA as a second/final round.
DMV only - onsite 1x per week in Reston VA is required.
Required Tech Stack: SQL, Automation via Selenium/Playwright/Java, ETL Validation for MongoDB, API/UI testing

Big Plus: Healthcare, CI/CD Pipeline (devops knowledge), AI testing, Ab Initio testing.
Expecting strong Automation with Java is required. Python is a plus (for automation purposes - would really like to see Python)
Supporting the Scrum team and ETL teams. Will be completing testing reports for both depts.
Must haves: Design, Development automated scripts with Selenium/Java and Playwright
Validating MongoDB scripts - they support data product teams. They have to compare source/target when new updates come forward. ETL Validation
API / UI Testing
Healthcare - Nice to have
CI/CD Pipeline experience - big plus
Any AI testing exp would be a plus.
Any Ab Initio is a nice plus (ETL testing wise, not development)
