Description:
- Our Client (Health related) is seeking a highly motivated an experienced Collibra Administrator - Data Governance (Programmer Sr) to join their team.
- The Programmer Sr (Collibra Administrator-Data Governance) will be responsible for overseeing the administration, configuration, and deployment of Collibra, focusing on release management, performance monitoring, and platform security.
- This position will be the subject matter expert in Collibra s various interfaces, including the Collibra Console, Data Intelligence Cloud (DIC), Edge, Lineage Harvester, and Data Quality (DQ) tools, ensuring seamless integration and effective data governance across the organization.
- The incumbent will be expected to utilize their knowledge of Python and Application Programming Interface (API) for automation, contributing to increased efficiency within our data management systems.
- Additionally, a strong understanding of Linux OS and Azure fundamentals will support the platform s server-side functions and cloud infrastructure needs.
- While the role involves a degree of autonomy in administering and optimizing Collibra, collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to maintain a secure, reliable, and high-performing data governance environment.

- Assists the team in carrying out department responsibilities and collaborates with others to support short and long-term goals/priorities for the department.
- Administers and maintains the Collibra Data Governance platform and Data Quality, including user management, role-based access control, and platform optimization.
- Configures and oversees Collibra modules, workflows, data lineage, and business glossaries.
- Collaborates with data stewards, data owners, and Information Technology Services (ITS) teams to ensure data governance policies and standards are effectively implemented.
- Develops and maintains automation scripts to streamline data governance processes and platform administration tasks.
- Creates and maintains workflows to support data stewardship, data quality and data classification processes, as well as collaborating with data stewards, business analysts and other stakeholders to define and implement data governance processes.
- Integrates Collibra with other enterprise systems and tools using APIs for seamless data flow and process automation.
- Performs basic server-side activities on Linux-based systems, ensuring the smooth operation of data platforms.
- Oversees server configurations, monitors system performance and troubleshoots issues.
- Works closely with data governance, ITS, and data engineering teams to understand requirements, gathers feedback, and continuously improves platform performance and user experience.
- Serves as subject matter expert by providing technical support and training to users on the Collibra platform and related tools.
- Stays current on Collibra updates, automation tools and cloud services.
- Recommends and implements best practices for data governance, automation, and platform management.
- 5% - Completes other projects and duties as assigned.
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, information science or related field PLUS 5 years of experience in data governance administration, preferably with Collibra, required; an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position such as those listed above may also be qualifying.
- Proven experience in automation, with a focus on data governance processes.
- Experience with Linux-based system administration, including server configuration and performance monitoring.
- 3 years of experience in the health care industry.
- 2 years of experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
