Job Title: PBM Business Analyst
Location: Remote

Type: Contract
Compensation: $48/HR

ALTA IT is seeking a PBM Business Analyst with strong Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) expertise to support a leading health insurance client. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with eligibility, integrated accumulators, and FACETS. This role will serve as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring business needs are accurately captured, documented, and translated into actionable system and process improvements.
Responsibilities
  • Interpret and analyze business needs by gathering, documenting, and validating functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and IT/software development teams to ensure accurate translation of requirements.
  • Develop clear, detailed business requirement documentation in alignment with established standards.
  • Support project planning and requirements management activities, including facilitation of requirement analysis and verification sessions.
  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT), including test planning, documentation, and validation of requirements adherence.
  • Identify, document, and troubleshoot system issues, collaborating with stakeholders to design solutions and workarounds.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to end users on systems, processes, and policies.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues to ensure quality and timely deliverables.
  • Coordinate assigned projects from concept through implementation.
  • Research and resolve policy-related business process and system questions as needed.
Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Management) operations, eligibility, and accumulators.
  • Experience with FACETS or similar healthcare administration systems.
  • Proven ability to elicit, analyze, and document requirements for complex systems and processes.
  • Experience leading UAT and issue resolution across business and IT teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical information in a clear, business-friendly manner.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or a related field preferred.
