Job Details

Job Title: Database Administrator
Location: Montvale, NJ - Hybrid
Duration: 12+ Months

Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain database systems to ensure optimal performance and data integrity.
Monitor and optimize database performance, including troubleshooting and resolving database issues.
Perform regular database backups and implement disaster recovery procedures to ensure data availability and minimize downtime.
Develop and implement security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
Collaborate with software developers and system administrators to ensure seamless integration of database systems with other applications and infrastructure.
Analyze and optimize database structures, queries, and indexes to improve system performance.
Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, assisting with data-related issues and inquiries.
Conduct regular database capacity planning to anticipate future storage requirements and ensure scalability.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in database technologies, recommending and implementing improvements as appropriate.
Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold the firm s respectful and courteous work environment.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server) and related tools.
Proficiency in database design, normalization, and performance tuning.
Experience with database security and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
Familiarity with backup and recovery procedures, including disaster recovery planning.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
