Job Summary:

The Network Architect at GPRS is responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing the company's network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity and data management. This role involves collaborating with the IT team to support and enhance various IT systems, including on-premises and cloud-based platforms. The Network Architect will also focus on integrating and securing data management systems to facilitate efficient data movement and protection. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and effective communication to drive IT initiatives and support business growth.

Job Goals:

  • Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for future IT initiatives that enhance productivity and integration across existing and new applications.
  • Ensure the highest levels of data security and compliance by managing and maintaining robust data management policies and systems.
  • Foster collaboration within the IT team to address break/fix needs and support ongoing and project-based IT requirements.


Job Responsibilities:

Maintain, monitor, and support GPRS infrastructure and platforms

  • Oversee, manage, and support GPRS on prem and cloud infrastructure.
    • Examples: Windows 2019/2022 servers, VMWare, Meraki firewalls, switches, wireless access points, AWS, and Azure resources.
  • Oversee, manage, and support communication and collaboration tools.
    • Examples: Office 365 Suite (Email, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft SharePoint, etc.), Talkdesk, and Teams Business Voice Phone systems.
  • Consistently review applications deployed at GPRS looking for higher levels of integration and synergy.
  • Consistently provide break/fix support for applications deployed at GPRS.
  • Create future focused roadmap to generate higher levels of productivity within the currently deployed applications or new applications.

Maintain, monitor, and support GPRS data management systems and applications

  • Oversee, manage, and maintain data management systems
    • Examples: Microsoft OneDrive, Azure, and other on-prem and cloud-based data management systems deployed at GPRS.
  • Manage and maintain data management policies.
  • Manage, maintain, and support data security management systems to ensure all team members are in compliance with best practices and policies at GPRS.

Collaborate with IT Team and IT Director to ensure all IT systems at GPRS are functioning at their highest levels

  • Aide and assist the IT Team at GPRS as it relates to other IT needs, projects, platforms, and business initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other IT Team Members to ensure the department functions efficiently and effectively.
  • Support other IT Team Members as needed with normal and project-based job responsibilities.


Qualifications

  • 2 or 4-year Information Technology (or similar) degree and/or minimum of 7-10 years Network/System Administrator, Network Engineer, or DevOps Administrator experience is required.
  • Additional consideration will be offered to those with experience specific to Azure management and administration or Azure DevOps management and administration such as: Kubernetes, Blob Storage, Front Door, AD B2C, Bastion, vnets, and Postgre SQL.
  • Microsoft ecosystem (Office 365, Azure, Intune, etc.) experience and certifications are recommended. Examples of recommended certifications:
  • Certified Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
  • Microsoft Certified Azure Data Solutions Architect Expert
  • Microsoft Certified Azure Network Engineer Associate
  • VMware Certified Professional
  • Certified Azure Administrator Associate (or other Azure certifications)
  • Ability to collaborate with the IT Team and Management to ensure business success and growth.
  • Must possess project management, organizational, and administrative skills
  • Ability to comprehend system and enterprise IT architecture
  • Possess excellent and effective communication skills
  • High proficiency with GPRS specific technology, systems, and programs
  • Display effective problem-solving skills
  • Display analytical thinking ability and skill
  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and execute with an ever-changing workload
  • Ability to work a full-time (40hrs/week) schedule from our Corporate Office in Maumee, OH.
  • Ability to meet Background criteria commensurate with industry standards
