In depth knowledge engineering, administering and supporting NetApp and Pure Storage systems
In depth knowledge of the Snap mirroring and Pure cloning functionality.
5+ years experience supporting storage infrastructure in a highly available, fault tolerant enterprise environment.
Working knowledge of backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Working knowledge of Virtualization technologies.
Working knowledge of Hyperconverged technologies.
Ability to identify areas of improvement, articulate the challenge, plan and execute the necessary changes.
Ability to effectively develop, document and communicate technical processes and standards.
Ability to train and provide guidance to support staff in areas of expertise.

Typical Duties
Responsible for the maintenance and support of Storage infrastructure.
Responsible for ensuring the environment is properly monitored and maintained.
Responsible for vulnerability management for areas of responsibility.
Maintains overall system compliance with information security policies and procedures.
Develops and implements configuration settings for all systems to meet security requirements.
Serves as technical subject matter expert for the resolution of issues related storage and compute infrastructure.
Plans, schedules, and communicates system changes to other team members prior to implementation.
Champions development and implementation of best practices, policies, and procedures for the operational support staff.
Manage risk in your day-to-day duties supporting the infrastructure.
Maintain and develop documentation necessary to managing the infrastructure.
Participate in on call rotating schedule for afterhours support.
Work with cross functional teams to solve problems and deliver solutions.
Mentor and train Jr. level engineers and administrators.
Performs other duties as assigned
Other Qualifications:
Technical Certifications:
oCertifications in any of the following; MCSA.MCSE, VMWare. ITIL or other relevant technology engineering certifications.
Education:
oBachelor s degree (B.A.), technology trade school or relevant training programs.
o5 years related experience in tier 1 systems architecture, implementation, support and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
