Job Title : ServiceNow Platform Architect Platform Engineering

We are seeking a highly experienced ServiceNow Platform Architect to join our Platform Engineering Team. In this role, you will lead the design, architecture, and governance of our enterprise ServiceNow platform, ensuring scalable, secure, and business-aligned solutions. You will work closely with IT and business stakeholders to maximize platform value and align with the organization s overall technology strategy.
This is a fully remote position with high potential for contract extension and conversion to a permanent role within 6 12 months.
**About the Team**
The Platform Engineering Team builds and maintains enterprise-grade platforms that streamline software delivery through reusable tools, infrastructure, and self-service capabilities. Our mission is to improve developer productivity, enhance system reliability, and increase operational efficiency across the enterprise.
**Key Responsibilities**
Define and evolve the enterprise ServiceNow platform architecture and long-term roadmap.
Lead architecture and solution design across ServiceNow modules including ITOM, ITBM/PPM, HRSD, CSM, ITAM, GRC, SecOps, Integration Services, Intelligence & AI, ITSM, and DevOps.
Establish platform standards, reusable design patterns, and architectural governance frameworks.
Evaluate and implement new ServiceNow capabilities and releases.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship for developers and project teams.
Design integration patterns and ensure platform performance, scalability, and security.
Partner with enterprise architects to integrate ServiceNow into the broader IT ecosystem.
Promote DevOps and CI/CD practices for high-quality, maintainable, and resilient solutions.
Create reusable frameworks, reference architectures, and design templates.
Stay current on ServiceNow innovations, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
**Minimum Qualifications**
10+ years in IT, with at least 5 years in ServiceNow architecture and solution design.
Proven experience delivering large-scale, complex ServiceNow implementations across multiple modules.
Expertise in core ServiceNow components: Service Catalog, Workflow, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, CMDB, Discovery, Performance Analytics, Custom Apps, etc.
Strong knowledge of ITSM, ITOM, CSM, GRC, or similar modules.
Experience with REST API integrations (SOAP/JDBC a plus).
Understanding of enterprise architecture principles, data governance, and platform security.
Hands-on ServiceNow development experience (JavaScript, Studio/App Engine).
Certification: ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA), Certified System Administrator, or Certified Implementation Specialist (at least one required).
Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
**Preferred Qualifications**
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification.
Experience with multi-instance or global deployments.
Familiarity with SAFe Agile and DevOps methodologies.
Knowledge of complementary platforms (Workday, Azure, Cloud environments).
