Position Overview:
The Desktop Support Technician provides hands-on technical support for end-user devices and software across multiple locations. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, imaging and rebuilding computers, managing user accounts, and ensuring smooth operation of end-user technology. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, customer service orientation, and experience with enterprise IT tools.

The Desktop Support Technician provides hands-on technical support for end-user devices and software across multiple locations. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, imaging and rebuilding computers, managing user accounts, and ensuring smooth operation of end-user technology. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, customer service orientation, and experience with enterprise IT tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-person and remote support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Perform imaging, wiping, and rebuilding of computers using enterprise deployment tools.
- Create, modify, and remove user accounts, rights, and permissions in Active Directory and other systems.
- Assist with configuration and troubleshooting of Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive.
- Support device management and security through tools such as Intune and Azure AD.
- Collaborate with IT teams and technology owners to resolve complex issues and maintain system integrity.
- Deliver end-user training and education to improve technology adoption and reduce support requests.
- Maintain accurate documentation of support activities, configurations, and processes.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in desktop or IT support (entry level candidates with relevant experience encouraged to apply).
- Hands-on experience with hardware break/fix, imaging, and wiping processes.
- Proficiency in Active Directory for account and permission management.
- Familiarity with Azure, Intune, and Microsoft 365 applications (Teams, Outlook, etc.).
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Healthcare IT experience is a plus but not required.
