As a Senior Lead Security Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity and Technology Controls organization, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of cybersecurity challenges that span multiple technology domains.

As an experienced professional in our cybersecurity organization, you won't just be watching over our data - you'll be finding innovative new ways to protect it in the future. To do that, you'll help lead a highly motivated team focused on analyzing, designing, developing, and delivering solutions built to stop adversaries and strengthen our operations. You'll use your leadership skills to give guidance, advise on best practices and support our business and technology groups. By taking the lead on incident response, risk reviews, vulnerability assessments and identifying threats, you'll help us deliver cost-effective solutions that put our clients first. You'll deploy best practices, new policies and emerging trends to strengthen our strategic roadmap. By presenting your findings to senior leaders, you'll sharpen your communication and presentation skills. Job responsibilities
  • Performs Architecture, deployment, administration, configuration, testing, and integration tasks related to cloud platforms.
  • Responsible for triaging based on risk assessments of various threats and managing resources to cover impact of disruptive events
  • Ensures the reliability, availability, and performance of the cloud infrastructure and platform.
  • Diagnose and repair issues using critical knowledge of cloud platform, systems, and application architecture.
  • Helps to develop new cloud engineering strategies and implementations for the firm
  • Automate repeated manual tasks, develop tools and automation to improve the efficiency of the platform and infrastructure.
  • Develop monitoring and dashboards for observability and proactive alerting.
  • Author and improve the quality of technical engineering documentation
  • Helps to develop new cloud engineering strategies and implementations for the firm
  • Participates in SRE on-call rotations and escalation workflows.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering* concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Strong understanding of cryptographic key management strategies.
  • Experience working with PKWare, Thales, Vormetric, Gemalto KeySecure or Luna devices and management platforms
  • Skilled in planning, designing, and implementing enterprise-level security solutions
  • Advanced in one or more programming languages: Python, Java, PERL, or PowerShell
  • Proven experience in: Unix/Linux environments, cryptography, log collection and aggregation - SIEM, database, networking, traffic analysis, security software development.
  • Advanced knowledge of software application development and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • Understanding or have experience with agile and lean philosophies
  • The ability and mindset to fully own the production environment; to identify production issues, design and develop enhanced monitoring solutions and automate fixes for those issues.
  • Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
  • Practical cloud native experience
