Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Cognos Developer with strong hands-on experience in IBM Cognos Analytics 11.x. This is a fully onsite role in Alpharetta, GA, and remote work is not allowed.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain reports using IBM Cognos Analytics 11.x.

  • Perform end-to-end report testing and support UAT cycles.

  • Build and maintain metadata models using IBM Cognos Framework Manager.

  • Work with data modeling concepts including star schema and dimensional modeling.

  • Write complex SQL queries and work with relational databases and data warehouse environments.

  • Collaborate with business users to refine requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

  • Maintain clear documentation for report logic, data flow, and data sources.

  • Quickly onboard to new projects and manage deliverables independently.

  • Optimize Cognos reports and queries for performance.

  • Implement Cognos row level security as needed.

Required Skills:

  • 8-10 years of experience as a Cognos Developer.

  • Strong IBM Cognos Analytics (11.x or later) reporting experience.

  • Expert in Cognos Framework Manager and metadata modeling.

  • Strong SQL skills and data warehouse knowledge.

  • Experience with report performance tuning and row level security.
