IT QA Technical Lead

Join our client as an IT QA Technical Lead and play a critical role in delivering high-quality retail technology solutions that empower their nationwide operations. This is an opportunity to lead QA strategy for Point of Sale (POS) systems and collaborate with a dynamic team committed to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Location: Phoenix, AZ Hybrid (Onsite Tuesday-Thursday)

Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $80,000- $100,000

What You ll Do:


  • Lead QA strategy and execution for POS systems and related retail technologies
  • Develop and manage test plans for functional, integration, and regression testing
  • Oversee automation efforts and improve test coverage across store systems
  • Manage defect tracking, triage, and resolution with development teams
  • Mentor QA team members, monitor contract QA resources, and promote best practices

What Gets You the Job:


  • 5+ years of QA experience with significant emphasis on POS systems
  • Deep understanding of POS hardware/software, omnichannel integrations, and reporting
  • Experience with card acceptance validation, major and private label, and Verifone terminals
  • Strong skills in SQL, QA process documentation, and defect tracking (JIRA)
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or as part of a team
