User Interface Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client in Warrendale, PA is seeking a talented and detail-oriented User Interface Developer to help design and implement a next-generation user interface for our fully autonomous SOLO robot. This interface will serve as the primary control and diagnostics hub for field operators, enabling seamless interaction with robotic systems in real-time.

Key Responsibilities:
* User Interface Developer will develop a responsive and intuitive UI that detects and displays all available SOLO robots within Wi-Fi range
* Implement controls that allow users to operate the robot directly from the interface
* Integrate diagnostic tools to provide real-time system health and performance data
* Enable the import of preconfigured mission data and support the creation of new missions through structured, user-friendly forms
* Ensure reliable communication with the robot using REST, UDP, and TCP protocols for mission data transfer
* As a User Interface Developer, you will build functionality to initiate robot missions and monitor execution status
* Design post-mission review tools for accessing and analyzing video and image data
* Display metadata from previous robot runs stored on the device for historical context and analysis

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong experience in UI/UX design and development for hardware-integrated systems
* Experience building tiered applications using a React front end and C# back end, ideally packaged within an Electron framework; Bonus points for the ability to read and understand C++ code, aiding in cross-functional collaboration and legacy system integration
* Strong familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON data structures, and a working understanding of binary data formats
* Familiarity with network communication protocols (REST, UDP, TCP)
* Proven ability to work independently and efficiently within an Agile environment, guided by a JIRA-based task board
* Ability to translate complex robotic workflows into accessible user experiences
* Passion for robotics, automation, and delivering impactful technology to the field

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
