Job Details

Develop strategic plans to identify and address current and future challenges for department & plant around engineering and maintenance processes. Participate in and help execute Manufacturing improvement strategies around footprint optimization, automation, constraints management and product growth in coordination with Product Line Managers. Prepare capital and operating cost estimates for new products and changes in existing products by estimating equipment, tooling, and gauging Investment. Lead formulation of manufacturing documentation, fabrication drawings, process sheets, control plans and tool layouts. Including global alignment to standardize processes and technologies. Collaborate with corporate supply chain team and the sites to write and submit appropriation requests approval (CAR) for new and replacement equipment, track, and report on project spending. Review and evaluate product designs and recommend changes to facilitate manufacturability and assembly process. Assist with timely development and implementation of operating capacity plan, facilities programs, business systems, product changes, and introductions. Manage, develop, recommend, and implement approved capital programs to support the profit and strategic plans. Direct engineering services in implementing changes to all factory operations through Industry 4.0 Provide support for EHS procedures and training, to drive a Zero Incident Culture across the plant. Serve as a MESH Category Champion, as assigned. Initiate, support and lead continuous improvement activities within the department through effective deployment of assessment and lean tools (VSM, RIE, A3, WSRA, PFMEA and other EBS Tools) to drive efficiency and results. Schedule, lead and communicate manufacturing engineering priorities with the team and coordinate activities with other functions across the division. Execute flawless launch of new products and or product lines as required Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Science, or related field. 2 years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of Highland, IL will be considered. Active-duty military members are exempt from this geographical limitation. Program Management Certification Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Technical expertise with AutoCad and/or Solidworks Strong Leadership and Communication skills. Strong Project Management skills Good working knowledge and experience with operational improvement tools such as Lean, Six-Sigma, problem solving/decisionmaking Strong interpersonal skills used for the review, motivation, and development of direct reports in addition to building relationships with internal customers and external vendors Demonstrated ability to leverage cross-functional resources to support departmental requirements. Assure timely implementation of capital plans and operating plans. Maintain a high level of professionalism through effective selection, training, and development of staff.
