Description
We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our clients team in Davenport, Iowa. In this role, you will be the face of the company communicating with all levels of leadership focused in maintaining and supporting networked systems, servers, workstations, and user accounts. You will provide advanced technical support to ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of IT infrastructure for multiple clients. This includes network configuration, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation. The position involves hands-on work with Cisco routers, firewalls, and advanced networking protocols. Local travel (no overnights) is required. Responsibilities:
Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco routers to support network operations.
Implement and maintain Palo Alto firewalls to ensure network security.
Administer Cisco ASA devices, including updates and performance optimization.
Monitor and configure Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) for efficient routing and connectivity.
Conduct regular assessments of network infrastructure to identify and resolve issues.
Collaborate with team members to design scalable and reliable network solutions.
Provide technical support for network-related issues and recommend improvements.
Document network configurations, changes, and procedures for future reference.
Perform local travel to client sites as needed for network setup and maintenance.
Stay updated on the latest networking technologies to enhance system performance.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in network engineering or a related field.
Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco routers.
Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls and security protocols.
Knowledge of Cisco ASA devices and their functionalities.
Strong understanding of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and its applications.
Familiarity with advanced Cisco networking concepts and technologies.
Ability to travel locally as required for client engagements.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
