Job Details

We are seeking a highly experienced Engagement Manager to lead and oversee IT operations for a greenfield airport terminal implementation. This is a mission-critical role requiring deep expertise in airport IT operations, federal regulatory compliance, and multi-vendor program leadership within a highly regulated aviation environment. The Engagement Manager will be responsible for end-to-end delivery, governance, compliance, and operational readiness across infrastructure, cybersecurity, ERP applications, and IoT-enabled airport systems. The role demands strong stakeholder engagement skills to coordinate with airport authorities, federal regulators, and strategic technology vendors such as SITA and Schneider Electric.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Operational Leadership
  • Lead and manage end-to-end IT operations for a new (greenfield) airport terminal.
  • Establish and enforce IT governance frameworks aligned with FAA, TSA, and federal aviation standards.
  • Ensure operational readiness, resilience, and continuity across infrastructure, cybersecurity, ERP platforms, and IoT systems.
  • Oversee transition from implementation to steady-state operations.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between airport authorities, federal regulators, and technology vendors.
  • Manage a complex multi-vendor ecosystem, including SITA, Schneider Electric, and other strategic partners.
  • Drive vendor performance through SLAs, KPIs, and service-level governance.
  • Support contract negotiations, renewals, and vendor risk assessments.
Compliance, Risk & Cybersecurity Management
  • Ensure strict adherence to FAA, TSA, and other federal regulatory mandates.
  • Implement and monitor cybersecurity controls and risk mitigation strategies for mission-critical airport systems.
  • Lead audits, compliance assessments, and regulatory reporting.
  • Identify and proactively mitigate operational, cybersecurity, and compliance risks.

Required Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in IT program or operations management.
  • Minimum 5+ years in airport IT operations or government-regulated environments.
  • 8+ years of hands-on exposure to airport operations or aviation IT ecosystems.
  • Proven experience delivering greenfield implementations involving complex, multi-vendor IT landscapes.
  • Strong hands-on exposure to:
    • IT Infrastructure
    • Cybersecurity frameworks
    • ERP systems
    • IoT / smart airport applications

  • Deep understanding of federal regulations, aviation standards, and compliance frameworks.
  • Expertise in vendor governance, stakeholder management, and program delivery.
  • Ability to manage large-scale, mission-critical IT systems under strict regulatory controls.

Preferred Background
  • Prior experience supporting airport terminals, aviation authorities, or government-regulated IT programs.
  • Familiarity with aviation technology vendors such as SITA, Schneider Electric, and similar ecosystems.
  • Experience with high-availability, secure, and mission-critical systems.
