Overview:

As a HR Security and Governance Consultant, you will join Turnberry's Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market.
Responsibilities:
Role Security Administration
Manage and maintain user access in Workday, UKG, and in HR systems at large
Collaborate with IT Platform Support to manage and maintain creation and updates to security roles and access controls in HR systems
Regularly review and collaborate with IT Platform Support to update role-based security to ensure least-privilege access and proper segregation of duties
Partner across data domains, Enterprise Information Security, and IT to align with enterprise-wide security frameworks
Governance and Compliance
Lead periodic audits of HR system access, control effectiveness, and data usage
Maintain and distribute audit-related documentation
Lead compliance efforts related to GDPR, HIPAA, EEO reporting, and other relevant regulations
Lead the development and maintenance of governance policies, standards, and documentation for HR systems in partnership with Enterprise Data Governance
Serve as the primary point of contact during internal and external audits
Data Lifecycle
Drive HR data lifecycle management, including data retention, archiving, and secure disposal
Own data quality, integrity, and consistency across HR platforms
Leverage deep expertise in data lineage across source-to-consume systems and assist others in building this expertise
Lead COEs (Centers of Excellence) and Product Teams to improve data-related processes and reporting accuracy
Oversee the HR data in enterprise data catalogues, such as Atlan
Culture and Enablement
Provide training and guidance to HR colleagues on data security and the responsible use of data
Drive adoption of security best practices across the enterprise
Communicate risks, gaps, and recommendations to leadership in a clear and actionable way
Monitor how HR metrics are used and communicate metrics and analytic changes
Direction of Others
Influence without authority, collaborate with product owner who leads the agile team
Highly influential within the function
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
Experience: 3+ years of experience in HR systems security administration (Workday, UKG preferred)
Compliance: Demonstrated experience conducting audits, managing access controls, and maintaining compliance
Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of HR data confidentiality and regulatory requirements (e.g., EEO-1, GDPR, HIPAA)
Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally with HR, IT, and Compliance teams
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with identity management systems and SSO integration
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in large, complex organizations with multiple legal entities
Prior involvement in HR system implementation or upgrades (Workday, UKG)
Professional certification(s) in HR systems security, governance, or compliance (e.g., Workday Security, CIPP, CISM)
The salary range for this role is $115,000 to $165,000 or the hourly equivalent.
