Description
We are looking for a Front End Developer to join our team in Saint Paul, Minnesota. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in designing and maintaining websites that deliver exceptional user experiences. This role is ideal for someone with strong expertise in WordPress and front-end development technologies.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain websites using WordPress, JavaScript, and other modern web technologies.
Ensure all websites comply with accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1 AA.
Enhance website performance, usability, and search engine optimization to improve user engagement.
Oversee web hosting and integrations, collaborating with external vendors when necessary.
Implement responsive design principles to ensure compatibility across devices and platforms.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website functionality and performance.
Continuously update and refine website features to align with organizational goals.
Maintain documentation for web development processes and updates.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
Requirements
Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for front-end development.
Demonstrated experience with WordPress development, including custom themes and plugins.
Strong understanding of accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.1 AA.
Familiarity with optimizing websites for search engines and performance.
Ability to manage hosting platforms and integrations effectively.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Experience in responsive design and cross-platform compatibility.
