RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Colorado Springs, CO that is seeking an Analyst and Simulation Developer to support a missile defense program.
Overview:
In this role the applicant will be expected to provide technical expertise in the area of Missile Defense (MD) modeling and simulation and/or analysis. Depending on the specific skills of the successful applicant, duties will include one or more of the following: plan and execute performance analyses on the program and its interactions with current and planned-future MD Elements, document analysis results in reports and briefings, present analysis results to a variety of audiences, develop requirements for complex system models/simulations; execute, test and evaluate/troubleshoot MD level, large scale models/simulations; develop, test, and evaluate threat scenarios; develop tools to support analysis and development effort in MATLAB, Python; provide data to support decisions regarding system/element representations and modeling parameters used in large scale simulations; interact with members of other the Product Teams, program leadership, external customers, and technical SMEs as well as leadership of other MD Element programs.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Solid engineering background supporting both conceptual and detailed system-level assessments
* Basic understanding of analysis techniques, planning, execution, and reporting
Technical specialty areas may include:
* Radar design and performance
* Strategic and tactical missile threat characterization/performance/modeling
* Simulation modeling of complex systems
* Requirement and test condition decomposition
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
