React Software Engineer
Salary Range: $115,000 - $135,000 annually
We are seeking a Mid-Level React Software Engineer to join our dynamic UI/UX development team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and designers to develop intuitive and high-performance user interfaces for their cutting-edge, web-based financial technology products.
This is a full-time, salaried position based at our downtown Chicago office, reporting directly to the Head of UI/UX Design.
As a React Software Engineer, you will develop high-performance applications capable of handling complex, data-intensive workflows using React. You'll also contribute to backend development by implementing API endpoints and WebSocket handlers in C#. Working closely with the Design and Product teams, you'll help translate requirements into pixel-perfect, functional interfaces. Your role will involve troubleshooting, testing, and maintaining the performance, security, and reliability of our web applications. You'll be responsible for writing meaningful unit tests to ensure backward compatibility and will uphold development best practices and coding standards across the codebase.

Required / Desired Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Over 3 years of experience developing modern web applications.
- Proven expertise in developing with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
- Additional experience with C#, Python, .NET and SQL is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with financial markets is preferred but not required.
- Comfortable working within Agile development environments.
- Skilled in implementing backend API endpoints and managing WebSocket communications using C#.
- Collaborates effectively with Design and Product teams to plan features and deliver pixel-perfect, functional implementations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with end users, gather requirements, and manage expectations professionally.
