Job Description:

Job Title: International Internal Communications Manager

Duration: 14 months

Location: onsite in Seattle, WA

Pay Rate: $68 - $80 hourly

Role Overview

Will be responsible for amplifying international voices, developing employee-facing content, and strengthening global engagement with our workforce outside the U.S.-ensuring our international (non-U.S.) employees feel informed, engaged, and connected.

The right candidate will develop and execute an always-on internal communications strategy that showcases international innovation, elevates regional leadership voices, and reinforces our across diverse markets.

What You'll Do

International Internal Communications Strategy & Execution
  • Drive the International VP Visibility Program: Develop quarterly content featuring international VPs through spotlights and other leadership content (videos/articles/internal podcasts) for internal channels
  • Lead "Leadership Principles Across Borders" Campaign: Create culturally relevant LP content including fishbowl webinar series, regional case studies, and employee video testimonials that help international teams apply LPs in local contexts
  • Support Regional Summit Innovation Spotlights: As part of these educational conferences where people can learn about cloud computing and content series and "Foundation Models, Global Applications" stories showcasing GenAI implementations across international markets

Content Production & Storytelling
  • Drive International Innovation Features: Create short-form video content and written features highlighting how international teams are building breakthrough solutions across priority markets

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Operations
  • Support International Communications News Desk: Participate in monthly planning calls, identify external stories with internal audience potential, and help scale story ideas across multiple countries
  • Manage Stakeholder Relationships: Work with international PR leads, Marketing, Analyst Relations, and country communications teams to align on content calendar and campaign priorities
  • Drive Editorial Planning: Contribute to global editorial planning mechanism, ensuring international stories receive appropriate visibility and coordination with U.S. editorial team

Measurement & Optimization
  • Track Content Performance: Monitor engagement metrics on News and analyze what resonates with international audiences, and adjust strategy based on data
  • Report on Campaign Impact: Measure success benchmarks and develop quarterly reports on KPIs
  • Identify Content Gaps: Use employee feedback and regional insights to continuously improve relevance and impact of international content

Key Responsibilities
  • Write and produce original internal content (articles, videos, newsletters) that translates complex technical topics into engaging stories for international audiences
  • Interview international employees, customers, and partners to develop compelling narratives about innovation, impact, and leadership
  • Manage inbound requests related to international GenAI and AI Agent announcements
  • Identify opportunities to repurpose external press content for internal audiences

Required Experience
  • 5-8 years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or employee engagement programs
  • Proven track record writing and producing long-form content for employee audiences, especially on technology, innovation, or skills development topics
  • Strong stakeholder management: Experience working with cross-functional teams, spokespeople, and leaders at various levels
  • Global mindset: Demonstrated ability working with international teams or in multinational organizations
  • Excellent judgment: Ability to navigate sensitive situations, prioritize competing requests, and make sound decisions in fast-paced environments
  • Technical fluency: Understanding of cloud computing, AI/GenAI, and ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences

Preferred Experience
  • Experience in workplace communications, education/skills training storytelling, or developer/technical audience content
  • Familiarity with employee engagement platforms and internal communications tools
  • Background working with global communications teams across multiple time zones
  • Experience managing or coordinating external agencies or vendors
  • Track record developing communications strategies for major events
