Sentinel is looking for a Solutions Architect to join our team in Michigan. As a Solution Architect, you are responsible for attending pre-sales calls or meetings to define client issues and business/IT requirements, identify and define technology solutions, and prepare statements of work and presentation documentation to articulate solutions with assistance. A dynamic position that requires a blend of technical expertise, communication skills, and strategic thinking. This role is a hybrid position requiring candidates to be local and report 2-3 days a week onsite to our Grand Rapids, Michigan office.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years experience in a Solution Architect or Presales position
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA A+, PSE-Professional, PCNSE, NSE4, MS-101, or equivalent are preferred
- Must have subject matter expertise in at least 1 technology, architecture, and/or delivery platforms
- Must be able to diagram/white board/sketch technology discussions live and on the fly with customers and peers
- Must be able to participate in discovery discussions with customers to define project scope
- Experience with storage systems (including NetApp, Pure, and HPE) is a plus
- Able to present technology briefings to both sales and customer audiences focusing discussion on specific needs of different groups
- Must have strategic thinking skills including strong analytical and problem-solving skills, risk management, willingness to roll up sleeves to get the job done, excellent written and verbal communications skills, goal orientation and ability to work with cross functional teams in a matrix environment
- Must report onsite to one of our Michigan offices 2 times per week (Brighton, or Grand Rapids) and be able to travel to client meetings as needed
- Regular travel to customer locations will be required. Occasional overnight travel as required (estimated at 6-8 times per year)
- The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
- A valid driver s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
- Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- Must demonstrate a can-do attitude
