Job Overview:
The Senior System Analyst will serve as the primary onsite IT support for the client's infrastructure, ensuring systems are running smoothly, providing troubleshooting, and maintaining network hardware/software. This position is responsible for hands-on technical support, coordination with remote staff, and ensuring all IT systems meet the City?s needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on IT support and troubleshooting for servers, workstations, mobile devices, and other network equipment.
- Manage ArcGIS Online administration, including adding/removing users and managing permissions.
- Maintain and update GIS layers such as zoning, property details, infrastructure, and code enforcement.
- Provide mapping support (PDFs, hardcopy maps) for City staff.
- Fulfill GIS data requests from internal stakeholders and the public.
- Assist with WebGIS application migration to Experience Builder and provide integration support with OpenGov and other platforms.
- Ensure smooth operation of GIS tools integrated with City systems.
- Ensure the City?s IT systems are functioning optimally through regular system monitoring and preventive maintenance.
- Coordinate with remote staff (Systems Engineer) for issue resolution and system management.
- Act as the lead for resolving service tickets and escalating unresolved issues to higher-level support as necessary.
- Monitor and manage software systems, including Office 365 Suite, SharePoint, Zoom, RIMS, and others.
- Handle emergency IT issues that arise during normal business hours.
- Work closely with the City?s IT team and stakeholders to implement IT improvements.
- Provide training and support for City staff on IT system usage.
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in IT systems support, analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, servers, workstations, and mobile devices.
- Familiarity with software like Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, and Zoom.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical issues to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple IT priorities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), or equivalent certifications are preferred.
