Director, Technology - DevOps || Atlanta, GA (On-site/Hybrid)
About the Role:
The Director, Technology (DevOps Director) will be responsible for the end-to-end management, configuration, and monitoring of the company's IT infrastructure, spanning both cloud and on-premise environments. This includes overseeing vendor system integrations, network connectivity, and the security aspects of data and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of the Elevance Health PulsePoint locations in the Atlanta, GA metro area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement a strategic approach for the end-to-end management of cloud and on-premise infrastructure for technology platforms and systems.
- Collaborate with IT and business leaders to define DevOps best practices and technical infrastructure requirements.
- Build and manage CICD automation pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and deployments across various environments.
- Implement 24/7 infrastructure and Application Performance Monitoring (APM) to ensure high availability, optimal performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
- Ensure that disaster recovery, business continuity, and audit plans are implemented, monitored, and regularly updated.
- Lead the investigation of incidents, act as an escalation point for faults, and perform follow-up tasks.
- Hire, train, coach, counsel, and evaluate the performance of direct reports.
Essential Skills:
- Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), infrastructure design, and scaling containers in Kubernetes.
- Expertise in CICD pipeline development and automation.
- Deep knowledge of observability monitoring (Infrastructure and APM), cloud networking, and security integration.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud services in a hybrid on-premise environment.
- Strong background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), including incident management and rapid response.
- Proficiency in managing tactical operations such as cloud patching, AMI rehydration, and cluster upgrades.
- Excellent leadership skills with a proven track record of managing and mentoring teams.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) or other large-scale pharmacy business operations.
- Knowledge of tools such as Apigee OPDK, Akamai, Copilot, CheckmarxOne, Tekton, Argo, HELM, IAM, Wiz, Service Now, JIRA, and Confluence.
