Software Asset Manager

Hansen Talent Group is seeking a Software Asset Manager to support large data center asset mangement and licensing consumption. The ideal candidate has in-depth experience has in-depth experience tracking and supporting IBM licenses and data management.

The Software Asset Manager will be responsible for supporting the asset management life cycle of information technology for software assets throughout the organization and implementing new processes to enhance cost savings.

Duties:

• Analyze and reconcile asset discovery data against current inventory data, entitlement data, and contractual terms and conditions for IT assets. Create and execute action plans to research and resolve identified gaps.
• Use IBM BigFix, Flexera, etc to support asset discovery and tracking software signatures.
• Support the implementation and upgrading of new software assets.
• Forecast and track asset data using ServiceNow and Excel to identify potential issues or concerns with entitlements and license consumption as well as compare signatures across the environment. Notify leadership of critical situations and contractual milestones.
• Provide ITAM support and services to IS projects upgrading or implementing new software assets.
• Implement processes for IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) activities ensuring work is in compliance with regulatory, government, and customer requirements

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in Software Asset Management supporting software licensing
• IBM BigFix
• Data Analysis
