Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Systems Engineer to join our onsite infrastructure team to support a growing portfolio of high-impact projects. With an increasing number of critical upgrades-including Citrix, NetScaler, Ivanti, and more-this role is essential to ensuring the success and timeliness of our technology initiatives. The Systems Engineer will collaborate with two existing team members to balance project demands, maintain uptime, and deliver stable, secure environments for end users across the organization.
Key responsibilities include assisting with the cleanup and optimization of our Active Directory environment, contributing to the continued stabilization of our VMware server infrastructure, and supporting the performance and reliability of our newly upgraded primary storage systems. A major area of focus will also include the upcoming PACS storage upgrade, a high-priority project for our clinical partners. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values teamwork, and is passionate about delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions in support of mission-critical healthcare operations.

US: Hiring Range in USD from $33.94 to $67.88 per hour; from: $70,600 to $141,200 per annum. May be eligible for equity.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

- Collaborate with fellow systems engineers to plan, implement, and support infrastructure-related projects, including Citrix, NetScaler, Ivanti, Active Directory, VMware, and storage upgrades.
- Participate in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise systems and applications to ensure performance, availability, and security.
- Assist in Active Directory cleanup, reorganization, and group policy optimization to improve system manageability and security posture.
- Maintain and stabilize VMware virtual environments, including host configuration, patching, resource allocation, and troubleshooting.
- Support storage infrastructure including SAN/NAS systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability-particularly for high-priority systems like PACS.
- Monitor system health, conduct routine maintenance, and resolve issues proactively to minimize downtime.
- Participate in the development and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Ensure systems meet security compliance standards, including patch management and vulnerability remediation.
- Work closely with application teams, network engineers, and support staff to resolve complex cross-functional issues.
- Document infrastructure changes, procedures, and configurations thoroughly and accurately.
- Provide tier 3 support for escalated technical issues, acting as a resource for junior team members.
- Assist in automation and scripting of routine tasks to improve operational efficiency.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices to make recommendations for continuous improvement.
