Job Details
Position: OCC Supervisor
Location: Bloomington, MN | Rotating Shifts
Type: 6 Months CTH
Lead and supervise a 24/7 Operations Control Center team to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant monitoring and control of renewable energy assets. Oversee workflow, performance, and operational decisions to maximize plant uptime and output while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and support Control Center Operators in real-time plant monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Oversee scheduling, workflow, and training for multi-shift teams.
- Ensure accurate SCADA data, operational logs, and compliance with NERC/FERC standards.
- Execute and supervise electrical substation switching and plant control adjustments.
- Coordinate with regional operators and maintenance teams to resolve equipment and system issues.
- Maintain positive, professional team environment and handle personnel matters.
- Act as Level II Operator when required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in technical field or equivalent military/industry experience (Associate s acceptable with significant experience).
- 5+ years supervisory experience, preferably in 24/7 operations or power plant environments.
- NERC Balancing & Interchange Certification preferred (or attainable within 12 months).
- Strong SCADA, networking, and MS Office skills.
- Knowledge of industrial communications, power systems, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and multitasking skills.
- Military/maritime engineering experience (aircraft maintenance, boilers) a plus.
