Position requires experience managing various complex technology projects,business process reengineering (BPR) of complex enterprise systems, andtechnology product evaluations.

Duties
Oversees the day-to-day responsibility of managing BPR and InformationTechnology projects.
Communicate with the sponsoring organizations to assist in needs assessment,scope definition, risk, and process improvement analyses.
Responsible for drafting specifications, proposal reviews, work plan definitions,task management, overall deliverables, and status tracking for systems integrationand/or development.
Reviews project proposals and plans to determine time frames, funding limitations,procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allot availableresources to various project phases.
Leads and motivates cross-functional project teams. Manages, directs, guides,and coordinates project teams through SPR, project launch, system selection, andintegration, data conversion/migration, QA/QC testing, training, and systemimplementation to ensure projects are on schedule and within the prescribedbudget.
Implements best practices and project management methodologies appropriate tothe project(s) scope.
Develops and manages the project schedule using Primavera Scheduler, MSProject, Project Scheduler, or similar project management tools.
Reviews status reports prepared by contractors and project personnel to modifyschedules or plans as required.
Prepare project reports for management, clients, or others.
Confer with project team members to provide technical advice and resolveproblems.
Performing power system engineering and deployment management
Manage software quality assurance testing, error reporting, correction, andverification.
Maintain database for recording software errors and corrections for each project.
Confer with project members to outline work plans and to assign duties,responsibilities, and scope of authority.
Use Internet tools to communicate with project parties continuously.
Conduct regular project meetings with the contractor and stakeholders to monitorprogress and disseminate actions required.
Proactively solving problems to ensure milestones are met and projects arecompleted on time and within budget.
Conduct and evaluate post-mortems to improve future projects.
Responsible for ensuring and maintaining a long-term outlook for the system(s) theproject manager represents.
Manages project issues, revises plan as necessary, and communicates changes tothe project team members.
Maintain close contact with project sponsor(s), ensuring a shared vision,stakeholder buy-in, and project support.
Personally responsible for self-improvement of management, technical, analytical,and business skills.
Prepare and evaluate proposals/solicitations.

Specific technical skills required or desired for this position include:
Extensive knowledge of system integration, testing, and change management
Ability to quickly gain knowledge of business process analysis and bench-markingtechniques

Ability to understand computer software at the "power user" level. Familiarity with
Micro-soft office products, database, and ability to master new programs quickly.

Minimum Qualifications
Recent verifiable experience working on Transit Industry Projects. Withdemonstrated knowledge of voice, data, and power systems.
Must have a minimum of seven (7) years of Information Technology
Project Management experience and consulting experience.
Proven track record managing successful large enterprise system implementationprojects involving current information technologies and/or SPA.
Designing low and high-voltage AC/DC power systems
Formal training and experience in Project Management, estimating, cost andschedule management, variance reporting, and electronic project management toolssuch as Primavera, MS Project, and Project Scheduler.
Familiarity with Internet access, email and web hosting technologies
