SUMMARY: We currently have a need for a Data Center Network Solutions Architect to design and implement solutions for Enterprise and Data Center Network environments. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of relevant work experience in Networking, Network Security, and overseeing strategic Technology Programs at Enterprise Clients. Global Financial Services, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare or Managed Service experience is strongly preferred.

PRIMARY DUTIES include but are not limited to:

  • Develop engineering solutions and explain technologies to customers.
  • Gather requirements and propose solutions including hardware and engineering services.
  • Provide recommendations on viability, implementation strategies and optimal implementation of solutions.
  • Develop design and system configuration based on technical requirements
  • Prepare statement of work (SOW s), level of effort and bill of materials (BOM s) for projects.
  • Recommend enhancements/changes to system design as appropriate
  • Develop scalable solutions for DC, LAN, WAN, WLAN, Firewalls, and other network devices.
  • Identify, research, evaluate and implement emerging network technologies.
  • Provide oversight for configuration, installation and maintenance
  • Provide in-depth troubleshooting and documenting any network issues.
  • Create standard deployment and support documentation to be handed over to the network operations group
  • Train deployment/field engineers for on-site deployment/troubleshooting

COMPENTENCY:

  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all customer contacts.
  • Experience preparing SOW and BOMs.
  • Experience designing data center infrastructures with ACI and SDN.
  • Proficient with the design, installation, configuration, troubleshooting and monitoring of core routing and switching, LAN/WAN/MAN services
  • Proficient in routing protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MP-BGP & IS-IS
  • Experience with Cisco APIC, Nexus 9k, 7k, 5k, 2k configuration and design.
  • Experience with Cisco Catalyst 9k, 4k, 3k, 2k series switch platforms.
  • Familiarity and/or hands on experience with SDWAN and Cloud Solutions.
  • Experience with Datacenter compute infrastructure design/integration is a plus.
  • Experience with Cisco ISE/Catalyst Center
  • Experience with interoperability/integration with network security, cloud and wireless platforms
  • Through understanding of IP concepts including routing, VRF, VXLAN, VLAN, QoS, tuning and capacity management concepts
  • Utilizing scripting tools
  • Ability to analyze and design network systems to achieve efficient and secure operation
  • Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP, including packet-level traffic analysis
  • Experience working in large enterprise networks is desired. The ability to work under pressure and interface with senior management will be key to these roles.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in related technical/business areas

EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years experience with enterprise-level network design and deployment with Cisco technologies

LANGUAGE SKILLS: English

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current Cisco data networking certifications i.e. CCNP, CCDP, CCIE strongly preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
Regular, repetitive movements such as typing, mouse movements, and scrolling. Ability to hear and understand spoken communications, both in person and via remote communication tools (e.g., phone, video conferencing).
Ability to see and read computer screens and printed documents, as well as adjust focus. This includes prolonged periods of looking at a computer screen.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Remote

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: M-F 8-5, S/SU (when required) M-F after hours (when required)

TRAVEL: Travel is required, but only occasionally, and is less than 10%.

 

This is a 100% remote role with a pay range of $160K-$180K
