Title: Application Systems Analyst
Location: Hybrid on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
Terms of Employment
W2 Contract, 12 Months (Likely Extension)
This is a hybrid position. Candidates must be comfortable working onsite in Plymouth Meeting, PA on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
The Application Systems Analyst should be comfortable working on a rotating 24x7 support, on-call schedule. This consists of documenting issues and handling it the following working day.
Overview
The Application Systems Analyst will be developing, enhancing, and supporting a vendor product Outage Management System (Hexagon) a critical, real-time enterprise applications. The systems were built using Classic ASP, JavaScript, Visual Studio, and Oracle. Recent updates and new development have been leveraging Java, C#, , and . The Application Systems Analyst will be responsible for participating in requirements meetings with the business to continually enhance the system by developing new functionality. While there is new development involved, there is a heavy amount of support, maintenance, and enhancement work involved to include patching and debugging.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information science, or similar.
4-to-10 years of software development and system support/analysis experience to include troubleshooting and patching.
Development experience in Java, C#, and/or .
Development experience using Oracle SQL and/or PL/SQL.
Experience writing complex SQL statements.
Experience working with the business and IT teams on requirements gathering meetings.
Ability to work under tight deadlines in a rapidly evolving environment.
Strong teamwork skills with self-motivation to achieve success.
Ability to effectively communicate highly technical information in non-technical terminology.
Strong documentations skills with a willingness to document system changes.
Strong understanding of advanced programming concepts, data structure and algorithms.
