Job Title: Sr Program Manager Community Engagement
Duration: 12 months (W2 contract)
Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid - Candidate Must Be Local)
Candidate must have Certified Public Manager (CPM) certification
Work Timing: 8:30am 5pm with some in-person attendance and evening/weekend engagements as needed (total hours not to exceed 40/week)

Job Overview:
Seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Program Manager Community & Digital Services to support IT leadership and drive inclusive digital transformation. This hybrid role blends program oversight, operational leadership, and high-impact public engagement to ensure community needs and user experience are at the core of digital initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted advisor and operational partner to the IT Director
- Represent department leadership in internal meetings and external engagements
- Lead initiatives focused on civic innovation, digital inclusion, and user-centered design
- Oversee UX, stakeholder relations, vendor engagement, and community outreach teams
- Coordinate and deliver resident engagement activities including town halls, NPUs, and community meetings
- Build partnerships with nonprofits, universities, civic groups, and industry partners
- Guide programs that collect, analyze, and apply public feedback
- Develop and manage public-facing content, including newsletters, social media, and podcasts
- Lead internal communication, training, and customer service improvement efforts
- Support cross-functional collaboration with other departments and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in community engagement, public service programs, or digital service delivery
- Strong leadership and project/program management capabilities
- Familiarity with local government and civic engagement processes
- Certified Public Manager (CPM) certification required
- Previous engagement experience within the relevant region or metropolitan area preferred
- Willingness to work flexible hours for community events (with time balanced during the week)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master s degree in a related field
- Civic tech or public-sector experience
- Knowledge of human-centered design
- Experience with community facilitation
- Vendor and stakeholder management
- Familiarity with performance metrics
- Work with underserved communities
