Automation Engineer II
Summary:
A leading telecommunications client is seeking a Level II Automation Engineer. This position focuses on backend QA automation, supporting customer-facing features such as recording and reminder functionalities. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java development and custom automation frameworks.
 
  • Title: Level II Automation Engineer
  • Location: Philadelphia, PA
  • Type: Temporary (6-month contract) — no plan for extension
  • Work Schedule: 4 days on-site per week
  • Pay: $45-$50/hr on W2

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain QA automation for backend services
  • Work with Java backend code, including integration with scheduler DBR
  • Support customer-facing features such as:
    • Recording functions (e.g., recording a football game)
    • Reminder functionalities (e.g., notifications for upcoming shows)
  • Contribute to testing efforts using the Test NG custom automation framework
  • Collaborate with Kubernetes frameworks for deployment and orchestration 
    Technical Requirements
    • Experience: 3+ years in software development and QA automation
    • Languages/Tools:
      • Java
      • GitHub
      • Jira
    • SDLC Knowledge: 3–5 years of experience
    • Frameworks: Custom automation framework (Test NG)
    • Environment: All backend services; no manual testing involved
