Data Reporting Analyst

Description

We are seeking a Data Reporting Analyst to immediately support a growing volume of report requests, particularly from our digital and marketing teams. This role is crucial to addressing backlogged reporting needs and supporting ongoing business intelligence efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to and fulfill data/report requests across business units
• Create and optimize reports using BI tools-primarily Jaspersoft, but openness to other platforms is welcomed.
• Collaborate with digital and marketing teams to prioritize urgent data needs.
• Present reports in XML and help streamline tasks through scripting/automation where appropriate.
• Support ongoing improvements in reporting processes and help reduce turnaround time.

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

• Jaspersoft (or other BI tools): Experience using the reporting module (2-3 versions behind is okay). Other tools like Power BI or Crystal Reports are also acceptable.
• SQL: Strong ability to create advanced reports and perform complex queries.
• XML: Understanding of how reports are rendered/presented using XML.
• Python: Ability to write scripts to automate or simplify reporting tasks.

Nice to Have:

Java: Helpful for portions of Jaspersoft reporting that use custom Java-based code.

Ideal Candidate Qualities:

• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Quick learner and comfortable navigating multiple report requests in parallel.
• Strong communicator and collaborative mindset.

Requirements

Proficiency with Jaspersoft or similar BI tools, such as Power BI or Crystal Reports.
Strong experience in creating advanced reports and performing complex queries.
Familiarity with how reports are rendered and presented using BI platforms.
Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation of reporting tasks.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and ETL processes.
Knowledge of XML for data integration and reporting purposes.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple report requests simultaneously.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
