Chenega Advanced Solutions and Intelligence Services, LLC (CASIS), is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Chenega Corporation, an Alaska Native Corporation (ANC) headquartered in Anchorage, Alaska. CASIS is an 8(a), ANC-Owned, Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) headquartered in Sierra Vista, AZ. We are a professional services provider specializing in the delivery of Intelligence Operations and Cyber Support Services to the Department of Defense (DoD) & other agencies within the U.S. Government (USG).

CASIS is a part of Chenega Corporation's Military, Intelligence, and Operations Support (MIOS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU). The SBU operates as a leveraged services model that increases the depth & scalability of our support staff while reducing costs to our customers. Chenega MIOS has over 1,700 employees located across the United States & internationally, with experience that includes management of contracts valued at $2 Billion that provide services to large federal agencies.

The Business Process Engineer, Junior role will be responsible for organizing and managing studies of current and future business processes and developing new methods to improve productivity, efficiency, and/or operational costs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership with insight and recommendations through process improvement assessments, studies, and application of business principles and industry best practices (Lean Six Sigma, Agile, Project Management Institute, etc.).
  • Perform Business Process Improvement and Business Process Reengineering tasks to improve, enhance, or streamline processes and practices, including providing recommendations to leadership for opportunities to improve business operations.
  • Collect requirements (interviews and document reviews).
  • Identify process actors and inputs/outputs.
  • Design current state business process diagrams.
  • Conduct efficiency analysis and create future state diagrams.
  • Provide coordination for Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to include developing and maintaining SOP lists, drafting process description narratives to create SOPs, identifying authors, and offering SOP assistance to SOP authors.
  • Support data capture efforts to include collecting/capturing requirements, designing and validating data capture, and configuring data capture forms.
  • Assist Operations Lead and Operations team with presentation and reporting development for briefings (APR, C2, Biweekly/staff meeting, PMD Sync, etc.).
  • Support the development and response to Task Management Tool task requests, such as the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics and Technology (ASA(ALT)) brief.
  • Provide Records Management support for Microsoft Teams.
  • Perform additional business process and operations tasks, as requested.
  • Engage and collaborate with Project Officers and their subordinates to identify, detail, and develop plans to address efficiencies in procedures and processes
  • Deliverables (to include, but not limited to the following): Reports and work products to include - Special Project Reports; Documentation of the results of analysis in white papers, presentations, or other required format to share the recommendations that meet the requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related strategic field preferred
  • 3+ years in Business Process Engineering, process improvement, or a related strategic role.
  • Background check required
  • Secret Security Clearance preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Basic knowledge of business process engineering principles, User Interface/User Experience methodologies, and tools.
  • Ability to establish, evaluate, and monitor critical standard business processes.
  • Ability to assist with comprehensive documentation of business process analysis and design.
  • Ability to identify and implement significant process improvements that result in measurable and impactful benefits at an organizational level.
  • Ability to assist with capturing, analyzing, and strategically reporting on key process performance metrics, including cycle time and significant efficiency gains.
  • Ability to assist with building sophisticated and impactful data visualizations in Power BI/Tableau to communicate strategic process performance and the impact of significant improvement initiatives to senior leadership.
  • Basic understanding of process mapping and documentation techniques.
  • Experience working with US Army organizations and their strategic operational processes and leadership decision-making is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in facilitation, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex strategic process information to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Ability to help influence and drive significant process change across different teams and at all levels of the organization.
  • Possess organizational skills and attention to detail in process documentation and analysis.
  • Ability to help manage multiple complex process improvement projects simultaneously and meet critical deadlines.
