Job Title: Senior ETL Developer IBM DataStage
Job Summary:
The Senior ETL Developer will lead the design, development, and implementation of ETL processes using IBM DataStage to support enterprise data warehousing, reporting, and analytics initiatives. This role will ensure high-quality, efficient, and scalable data integration while collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy ETL jobs and workflows in IBM DataStage to extract, transform, and load data from multiple source systems into enterprise data warehouses and downstream applications.
  • Optimize and tune DataStage jobs for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Implement error handling, logging, and recovery processes to ensure robust data pipelines.
  • Maintain and enhance existing ETL processes, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency.
  • Participate in code reviews, enforce development standards, and mentor junior developers.
  • Support data quality initiatives and troubleshoot complex issues in production environments.
  • Document ETL designs, data flows, and technical processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in ETL development, with 3+ years hands-on expertise in IBM DataStage.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, Teradata).
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and star/snowflake schema design.
  • Experience with performance tuning, job scheduling, and automation tools.
  • Knowledge of version control, CI/CD, and Agile delivery practices preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
