MSG is seeking a full-time Structural Engineer to perform engineering tasks related to structural, transportation, and site design, from start of projects through final design
Key Responsibilities
- The study and design of highway structures and bridges.
- Field inspection of transportation structures and bridges.
- Preparation of engineering reports, plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E), engineering calculations, and monitoring work for compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Act as the project engineer or discipline lead for highway and bridge projects, as well as mentor junior engineers and technicians.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- BS or greater in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field
- 10+ years of experience with structural engineering, preferably bridge work
- PE required
- Experience with bridge design and analysis
- Knowledgeable in ODOT policies and procedures including the Bridge and Culvert Manual, AASHTO, AISC, ACI, IBC, and ASCE 7 specifications.
